The Peruvian Congress through Legislative Resolution No. 29445 published on November 20, 2009 approved the accession of Peru to the "Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents (" Apostille Convention ")

Later The Government ratified by Supreme Decree 086-2009-RE of 23 November last year.

On January 13, 2010, Ambassador Allan Wagner, Ambassador of Peru to the Kingdom of the Netherlands deposited its instrument of accession of our country the "Convention abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents Foreigners "ceremony held at the headquarters of the Department of Treaties, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, depository of the Conventions of the Hague Conference on Private International Law.

This important Convention enters into force for Peru on September 30, 2010.
